Governance is something that most organizations talk about, but few know where to start. In fact, most organizations don't know exactly what governance is, especially as it relates to the intranet. Most governance sessions today focus on technology products or building a set of rules. This session was developed from more than 10 years of watching organizations struggle with defining and implementing governance, and goes back to basics to help you truly understand what governance really means, WHY governance is important, and how to start simple.


In this session, you’ll take a fresh look at understanding governance and how to relate it to your intranet, including:


  • Understanding the purpose of governance and how it relates to your intranet
  • Developing a usable governance strategy
  • Discussing important elements that should be included in your governance plan
  • Informing employees and upper management of new intranet guidelines & rules
